Planet_
Amsterdam - Sept. 2019/Oct. 2021
Planet_'s objective was to launch a fundamentally new digital environment, structured around the essence of human experience, which we defined as "The Digital Me."
My mandate was not only to create the complete Planet_ brand identity but also to develop the exhaustive visual landscape needed to illustrate The Digital Me concept. This required me to fully deploy my expertise across all disciplines: motion design, graphics, UX/UI, conceptual thinking, and brand design. The scope even occasionally necessitated drawing upon my formal art background.
We needed an introduction video to explain the concept of ‘The Digital Me’. Needed to nbe quite dense. I thought it would be easier for the viewer to understand it if the video is cut up in distinct visual pieces. So every paragraph has got it’s own style, while still cohering to the whole.
Our design philosophy treats ‘The Digital Me’ as a series of immersive worlds rather than a single interface. By adopting the mindset of a galactic pioneer, we’ve created an ecosystem where every interaction feels like a step into a new, undiscovered dimension of identity.
Nine Os is a stripped down security communication platform. That uses the same basic technology that was created for Planet_.
Although it was geared towards the intelligence community , we thought it was important that the looks of this explainer video had still a human feeling.
In order to party the essential human element, I focused on the subtle imperfection, and natural textures.
To stay with natural human feeling thought the brand, I explored the posibilites of neumorphism. The aim was to get rid of the abstract digtal feeling of conventuialal UX/UI, and go back to a more natural analog world.
